FUE Hair Transplant
1 week post procedure
1000 grafts
I just want to post my experience with Hair Motion Clinic. I contacted both these guys, and Dr Patty, and some other clinics in Thailand. But, Dr Patty was booked all the way till April of next year, and the other Thai clinics never responded. Hair Motion Clinic was super responsive. I couldn't believe how fast and easy it was to setup the appt. They received my pics, we did some back and forth, and they did a rough estimate of 800 to 1000 grafts. I asked for a discount, and they gave me a 25% discount, and the fully shaved pricing -- more on this later. I put in a deposit, and they were available to take me within a few weeks. I booked it for this past week, and flew in last Thursday. They saw me on Friday, we did photos, drew hairline until I was satisfied, but given that I was mostly filling in temporals, they suggested I do a partial shave so I don't have to walk around Seoul with a large bucket hat. They said they would provide a clip in hair piece to match my hair that would cover the back shaved area. They also said they would charge me for the full shaved price, which is less than the partial shaved price. I was stoked on that, and it made a big difference afterwards, since I walked around Seoul pretty much with my regular hair pushed forward. My hair covered the implanted area, and you couldn't even tell the surgery happened. The hair piece in the back completely covered up the shaved donor area. It was great. The procedure was about 6 hours long. I was there from 9 am till about 4, though. They did PRP for free. The Dr was great too. Super friendly and nice, and he saw me the next day for the post op. He did the anesthesia, drilled the grafts, and cut the recipient sites. The techs removed grafts, prepped them, and then implanted the grafts. They provided paperwork to get some VAT tax back at the airport, which is about 7% of the total cost. The final cost came out to about $2500 USD. To expand on that, the USD is STRONG right now against the Korean Won. So, if you're in the U.S. looking to do a HT, I would highly consider South Korea. Thailand might be cheaper still (actually, I'm not so sure on this anymore, since I read Dr. Paddy just increased her prices by quite a lot, but 11 months ago, it was cheaper by quite a bit), but South Korea is the capital for cosmetic surgery. It does the most cosmetic surgery per capita than anywhere else. And, with the strong exchange rate, the price isn't that bad. I can't believe HT's are this cheap now. 20 years ago when I first looked at HT's, they were 4 to 5x this price.
